How it works
How Budgeter works
Three tools, one purpose: understand your money, plan the month ahead, and learn enough to make your own decisions confidently.
1. Build your budget
Open the budget planner and enter your take-home income, fixed costs, variable costs, planned savings and debt payments. Totals update as you type, and you can rename, add or delete any category.
2. Check your daily number
Add your current available balance and your next payday. Budgeter divides what is genuinely spendable across the days remaining, giving you a single figure to check before a purchase rather than a monthly total that is hard to act on.
3. Test decisions with a calculator
Thinking about a loan, a savings goal or clearing a debt faster? The calculators show the arithmetic, the formula and a worked example, so you can see how the result was reached rather than trusting a black box.
4. Learn as you go
Every tool links to relevant guides in the learning centre, where concepts are explained in plain language with realistic numbers.
Where your data lives
Budgeter runs its calculations in your browser. Your budget is saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. We do not have accounts, we do not receive your figures, and there is no server-side copy of your budget.
What Budgeter does not do
- It does not connect to your bank or import transactions.
- It does not recommend financial products or providers.
- It does not provide personal financial, tax or legal advice.
