Summary

Budgeter does not have user accounts and does not store your budget figures. Everything you enter into the planner or a calculator is processed in your own browser.

Information you enter into our tools

Income, expenses, balances and any other numbers you type are held in your browser's memory while you use the page. If you choose to save your budget, it is written to your browser's local storage on your device. It is not transmitted to us and we cannot access it. Clearing your browser data deletes it permanently.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure may log standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, referring page and the time of the request. This is used for security and to keep the site running reliably.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are useful. Any such data is aggregated and is not used to identify individuals.

Advertising and cookies

Budgeter has applied to Google AdSense; ads can appear only when Google approves the site. Optional advertising requires both your Accept all preference and a verified response from Google's certified consent platform. If that platform is absent, unavailable or does not permit advertising, Budgeter does not load the advertising script. Google may use cookies such as __gads and __gac, device identifiers, and similar technologies to serve ads, measure their performance, and show you more relevant advertising.

Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to Budgeter or other websites. Google's advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to serve ads based on those visits. The current Budgeter integration requests non-personalised ads, which are not selected using your past browsing behaviour; these can still use cookies for frequency capping, reporting and fraud prevention. Personalised advertising is not enabled by Budgeter's own banner.

Google and its advertising partners may process data such as your IP address, browser and device information, and interactions with ads. When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you choose "Accept all" or "Only necessary". Only necessary prevents Budgeter from loading the optional Google advertising script. Your choice is saved in local storage, separately from your budget. Use Cookie settings in the footer to change it. Withdrawing a previous acceptance reloads the page to stop the loaded script; it does not delete cookies already set by Google. Those can be removed in your browser settings. No standalone analytics script is installed by Budgeter.

Budgeter's own banner is not a Google-certified consent management platform and does not replace one. Advertising stays blocked unless Google's Privacy & messaging platform supplies a valid consent status. Where the platform identifies European consent requirements, the additional consent must cover device storage and Google as a vendor. This conservative gate applies worldwide when consent status is unknown, including the EEA, UK and Switzerland. The certified platform manages its own detailed purposes, vendors and consent records. Choosing Only necessary here overrides permission to load advertising.

Google's consent-message script loads separately so it can collect or restore your choices before any advertising script is allowed. This request shares technical information such as your IP address and browser information with Google to deliver the consent message; it does not itself enable Budgeter's advertising script. To revisit Google's choices, open Cookie settings in the footer and choose Google consent settings. Advertising remains blocked if the message cannot load or its consent response cannot be validated.

You can also manage how Google personalises ads for you by visiting Google Ad Settings. To opt out of personalised advertising from participating vendors, you can use the Your Online Choices or About Ads tools.

Children

Budgeter is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you. Because we do not operate accounts, the data we hold is minimal, but you can contact us with any request via the contact page.
